17:19 BREAKING NEWS : The First Sectary Lord Mandelson is back in Number 10. This time he did give a little smile, no words to the press. It seems he wants to be there with Gordon Brown for the end! The Home Sectary has also arrived at Number 10, for now the final meetings of the Brown premiership.
17:22 UPDATE : The BBC are reporting that Labour sources say they are preparing for the possibility that Gordon Brown could resign tonight if Nick Clegg informs him that there is no chance of an agreement between Labour and the Liberal Democrats, or that the Tory Lib Dem talks have been successful.
