Mandelson leaves Downing Street

16:48 BREAKING NEWS : The First Sectary Lord Mandelson has left Downing Street. He did not say a word to the press. No smiles aswell. He left a Privy Council meeting at Buckingham Palace as he is the Lord President of the Privy Council. Sad day for him aswell he will be relinquishing his title as Mr Brown resigns which include First Sectary of State, President of the Board of Trade and Lord President of the Privy Council.

17:10 UPDATE : A senior Lib Dem source says talks with Labour were "amicable, but problems remain on deliverability and Labour cohesion". Meanwhile, Labour sources say the Lib Dems wanted unaffordable commitments on tax and spending. So that's why the talks came to a dead end.
