The new House of Commons takes it seats

For the first time since the General Election, the elected and re-elected MPs, have taken their seats. Notes for political junkies like me, is that Sir Ming Campbell is siting where Dennis Skinner used to sit, Dennis Skinner is siting right opposite his usual seat. David Cameron has taken the his seat as the new Prime Minister, and got a cheer from Tory MPs, ergh. Oh by the way Nick Clegg his new political wife is siting right next to him.
On the Labour frontbench Harriet Harman, Jack Straw and Alistair Darling will be leading Labour in the Commons. It seems the former Prime Minister Gordon Brown is not in the Commons today.

UPDATE : John Bercow has been re-elected as Speaker of the House of Commons. The Speaker-elect was rumored to face a substantial challenge from Tory rebels but this did not prevail.
